The second edition of RuralFira, the family rural fair organized by EFA La Malvesía in Llombai, wrapped up on a very positive note after drawing nearly 1,000 visitors throughout the day. Despite forecasted rain, the fair proceeded smoothly and carried out virtually all scheduled activities, thanks to schedule adjustments and the use of covered areas.
RuralFira 2026 once again became a key meeting place for families, professionals, institutions, businesses, and visitors interested in the rural sector. Created with the goal of bringing the reality of countryside life, its crafts, products, traditions, and innovations closer to the public, this second edition confirmed its consolidation as a prominent event on the Valencian rural calendar.
Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed exhibitions, workshops, a food area, vendor booths, family activities, demonstrations, and initiatives related to agriculture, livestock, handicrafts, and sustainability. Although the weather forced a reorganization of certain spaces, the public response was excellent, delivering a dynamic, highly participatory, and rewarding day for everyone involved.
The fair also received significant institutional backing. Visitors to RuralFira included several local mayors, as well as M.ª Àngels Ramón-Llin Martínez, current Director General of Agricultural and Livestock Production of the Generalitat Valenciana; Avelino Mascarell Peiró, Deputy for Environment, Forest Risk Prevention, and Rural Development at the Diputación de Valencia; and José Luis Aguirre, former Regional Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries of the Generalitat Valenciana.
The organizing team also expressed special gratitude to the sponsors who made this second edition possible: Diputació de València, CaixaBank Dualiza, Ribercamp, and Centro Hípico El Ajolí y Matamón. Their commitment played a decisive role in strengthening a growing project that seeks to highlight the value of rural areas, vocational education, and future opportunities linked to the territory.
With this second edition, RuralFira takes another step forward in cementing its status as a flagship family rural fair for Llombai and the surrounding region. The successful turnout, paired with the engagement of institutions, sponsors, exhibitors, and the warm public reception, reinforces the determination to begin working on upcoming editions to ensure RuralFira continues to grow as a showcase for the rural world and a bridge connecting tradition, innovation, and community.
